The Church

There is one true Church universal, know as the Body of Christ, comprised of all those who receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. The corollary of this union is that all believers become members of His body, the Church. The Scripture commands believers to gather together to devote themselves to worship, prayer, and the teaching of the Word. The observance of baptism and Communion are the only sacramentarian ordinances established by Jesus Christ. As a part of the Church, believers are to fellowship and serve the body through the development and use of talents and gifts, as well as, an outreach to the world. Wherever God's people meet regularly in obedience to His command, there is the local expression of the church. Under the watch-care of pastors and other supportive leadership, its members are to work together in love and unity, intent on saving souls and changing lives for the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ.
